Monday, June 13, 2005Episode 2:4th day (final day) - This day was definitely 1 memorable day, this day i will always remember cause i nearly couldn't come back to S'pore!!! Let me start with the morning. We work up pretty early, checked out, and headed for this weekend market where people took their stocks from, something like a wholesaler place? And that market has over 30 gates which is equivalent to 30 other entrances to the market, and basically, there's EVERYTHING there. From household accessories, to food, to clothes and even animals! And there were many people selling small squirrels, and those pups, there were so badly overcrowded in a small miniature cage, urgh, and oh! i saw those fried worms and cockroaches in the market. yucks. So anyways i bought some stuff there and we started heading for the hotel at 12 noon cause the heat was just unbearable. Once we took our stuff back to the hotel room, we were out again to shop. =D So it was shopping all the way. The kids went first to get their pokemon toys and all, then the adults. After which, we all gathered back at my uncle's room at 2 and started a mad rush to pack all our stuff into the luggage, from a total of 6 luggages for 9 people at first, we ended up with 13 bags and luggages. In fact, my mum and i bought 2 handcarry luggages and we ended up with many plastic bags. =X You know, it may have sound as if i bought part of bangkok down, but in actual fact, when i unpacked all my stuff, i realise i didn't have enough to distribute to everyone... oops. So here's the exciting part, we left for the airport at about 1600 hours in Bangkok and checked in at about 1700 hours, our flight was scheduled at 1900 hours, (a lil early huh u might think) but the thing is that Valuair don't have assigned seats, thus if u want to sit together or choose better seats, u've gotta check in early so they can assign u the seats, that's why we checked in early. Anyways the check in took nearly an hour cos there was some problem which i didn't know of until later. We dined at BK soon after and we had to rush cos we hadto be at the holding area already. Just when we were proceeding to the departure gate, i heard my name being announced throught the airport, and it said to report to the boarding gate immediately, well, i thought it meant the last call or something so i just didn't really care, then this staff came running and asked for my boarding pass, so i handed it to him and there lies the problem. My boarding pass was screwed up, why? Cause the S'pore Valuair screwed up the ticket, so we waited cause everyone was already boarding. Some communications were made, and the staff emplained the problem and said that "she'll PROBABLY" be able to board the plane. "probably" was the word, my heart nearly dropped. Seriously it sucked. Just think, everyones on board the plane already, waiting to return to S'pore, then the flight's delayed cause of a young girl. It was annoying. After what seemed like a million years, they crew finally decided to let me board the plane but only after i got a statement from the police. And mind you, the police wasn't strategically located at the floor of departure, but i was situated at some ulu ulu place and the staff, my uncle and me started running to the ofice. And on that day, i was wearing my nice nice sandals, and it made terrible noises. every step i ran, everyone just stared. okay, stopping here.. eyelids dropping... tt's all.. episode 3 coming soon... |
